All my girls do yoga
The best thing about moving to a new country is all of the stress involved. HA just kidding. I'm not actually too stressed, there are just a few little things that sometimes grind my gears and make me feel incredibly anxious. BUT, the silver-lining in feeling anxious and stressed is that within the last few years I have finally discovered how to handle my anxiety and get back to a place of peace..... it's through yoga! The greatest love of my life and my constant little buddy.
One of the best aspects about yoga is that you can do can do it anywhere in the world, all on your own. Although going to a studio and flowing with other yogis is great fun, if that option is not available (or if it's too expensive and you're pinching pennies, like me), then practicing on your own is a totally viable option!
Here are some reasons yoga is the best:
- It calms anxiety
- It makes you bendy
- It makes you strong
- It helps you become present
- Cute outfits (hello comfy leggings)
- Other wonderful yogi's
- Studios that feel like home
- Amazing benefits to your physical and mental health
- Your soul will feel all ooey-gooey
- After a practice you feel all glowy and wonderful because your mind, body, and soul are so happy
When I feel anxious, I love to roll out my mat, leave my worries behind and be present with my breathe and moving my body. It recharges me and shuts my mind up for just enough time for me to calm my anxieties and feel positive and motivated about whatever I was motivated about.
Another MAJOR benefit, is the super comfy outfits. Raise your hand if you love leggings, because I certainly do. Going from wearing leggings and a sports bra to work to having to wear slacks, a button-up, and tie really has me missing my old job.
